However, the decision makers in the Aston Martin team felt that not enough infringements were punished and therefore lodged a protest against the race result. They therefore had to appear at 6:30 p.m. with rulers Garry Connelly, Enrique Bernoldi, Mathieu Remmerie and Walter Jobst to speak about the protest.
During the 71-lap race, the race director canceled more than 100 lap times, and these offenses must now be examined again.
