A young woman who returned on a scooter after New Year celebrations in Delhi met a tragic end. The hit car dragged the woman for five kilometers. The police arrested five youths who were in the car.
The tragic incident took place at three o’clock in the morning in Delhi’s Sultanpuri. A 23-year-old woman who was traveling on a scooter after New Year’s Eve was hit by a car carrying five youths. The woman fell down and refused to stop the car. The woman’s dress got stuck in the wheel of the car. The woman was dragged for more than 5 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjawala. Many people saw this and informed the police.
Later, the police found the dead body of the woman without her clothes in Kanjawala. The police checked the CCTV footage of the area and arrested all 5 youths.
The statement given by the youth is that they did not stop the vehicle due to fear and did not know that the woman was trapped under the vehicle. Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal directed the police to take strict action and submit a detailed report on the incident
