The creators of Euro Truck Simulator 2 cannot release the addition “Heart of Russia”

Prague studio SCS Software confessedthat is in a difficult situation. Prior to the scheduled release of the add-on “Heart of Russia” to Euro Truck Simulator 2 there were a few weeks left, although the creators did not have time to name the exact release date. But now they have decided to postpone the DLC indefinitely – perhaps for several years.

As PR and marketing manager Daniel Nemec admitted, there is a split in the gaming community. Some players demand to eradicate everything Russian, while others are sure that the trees and roads in Russia are not to blame for anything.

So far, the developers have not made a final decision about the upcoming addition, but they already admit that they cannot release it under the emotionally charged title “Heart of Russia”. In addition, it would look like a provocation, given that no one in Russia could buy it.
