Ubisoft recently did a blowout with information about The Crew franchise. As part of the French company’s The Crew Summer Showcase, we’ve been told more about The Crew 2’s sixth year, and more about what’s planned to be added after The Crew Motorfest launches. For The Crew 2, Ubisoft revealed that in Year 6 (Season 9 and beyond), the Race Creator feature will debut, giving players the chance to build their own races for the community. Likewise, the first of two episodes of Season 9 will introduce new American Legends stories and events and will have players drive a Bugatti Chiron Sport 300+ Divine Edition, Ford Mustang Boss 429 Lime Edition, Chevrolet Camaro RS Ghost Edition and Nissan GT- R Haru Edition. These new stories are also said to feature narrative and backstory elements that tie The Crew 2 to The Crew Motorfest. Speaking of upcoming titles, Ubisoft revealed that The Crew Motorfest will bring Hoonigans into the game for post-launch Season 2 support. As we were previously told Season 1 would revolve around American muscle and iconic vehicles, that means we’re just waiting to hear about Season 3 to get a full idea of what Year 1 of The Crew Motorfest will be like – as each The season will last about four months. Otherwise, the addition of The Crew Motorfest will have a Riders Republic flair, as every hour, the racing game will host head-to-head and Grand Races, in which 28 drivers compete on a randomly generated track on the island of Hawaii. Finally, on the topic of both games, Ubisoft noted that the import feature that allows players to bring The Crew 2 cars to The Crew Motorfest will allow users to import any car from The Crew 2 season 8 or earlier at launch – Then you’ll see support for car imports from Season 9 and beyond.
