The new millennium witnessed 4 crises of heavy caliber within the walls of Al-Ahly and Zamalek Club about the transfer of the pole stars of Egyptian football and the abandonment of affiliation through professionalism in European clubs and the Egyptian League.

Affiliation has become an old fashion for Al-Ahly and Zamalek club players, and it has become the language of money that controls the course of things, as it is the language of professionalism.

Sada El Balad highlights the crises of 4 stars in the club Al-Ahly Zamalek gave up belonging and raised the slogan of money first.

Essam El-Hadary and the separation from Al-Ahly

In 2008, Essam El-Hadary, the goalkeeper of Al-Ahly club in the Swiss club Sion, caused a major crisis, and matters reached FIFA.

Al-Ahly club decided to suspend Issam El-Hadary without specifying the period, at a time when it was reported that the Swiss club Sion, to which El-Hadary joined, would include him in a Swiss League match the next day against Young Boys.

Tarek Selim, a member of the Football Committee, announced the suspension of Issam El-Hadary and hinted at the possibility of a decision to be removed. The surprise was amazing when substitute goalkeeper Amir Abdel-Hamid revealed that El-Hadary had told him of his intention to become a professional in Switzerland, indifferent to what might happen in terms of reactions.

An officer at Cairo Airport had disclosed the news that Essam El-Hadary, his wife and two children had traveled early to Switzerland on the Austrian plane, hours after the match in which he participated with Al-Ahly against Al-Masry Al-Port Said. For the sake of his family’s future.

Essam El-Hadary, Al-Ahly goalkeeper, stressed that he considers the Swiss offer as the last chance, and that he is 35 years old, and his contract with Al-Ahly expires after two years, and he will not be able to achieve the dream of his life at this advanced age. Ahmed Schubert, Vice President of the Football Association, revealed that he had received a letter from the Swiss Federation four days ago requesting the international card for Essam El-Hadary. The request was surprising, and Al-Ahly club was immediately informed, and the matter was not taken seriously.

The president of the Sion Club and his deputy arrived in Cairo and made an offer to Al-Ahly of 400 thousand dollars for the contract, but Al-Ahly refused due to the strangeness and modesty of the value.

Essam El-Hadary, Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper, who has overwhelming popularity among football stars, relied on Article 17 of the International Federation’s regulations, which allows a player over the age of 28 to become an external professional if he pays the value of his contract for the remaining period to his club, and El-Hadary has the right to play with a temporary international transfer card from the International Federation, if The Egyptian Federation refused to send the international card to its Swiss counterpart.

Essam El-Hadary’s contract with Al-Ahly ends on May 22, 2009, and its annual value is 1.1 million pounds. Sion Club will pay the value of the remaining period. El-Hadary concluded the contract with the Swiss club on February 15, 2008, that is, during his presence in Ghana with the Egyptian national team.

And the curtain finally fell on the crisis that has preoccupied sports circles in Egypt since 2008, after Essam El-Hadary, the goalkeeper of the Sudanese team, Al-Merreikh, paid the financial fine imposed on him by the International Football Association (FIFA), amounting to 826 thousand dollars, due to his transfer to the Swiss club Sion without Obtaining prior permission from the Egyptian Al-Ahly officials after the 2008 African Nations Cup, which was held in Ghana.

A delegation from the Sudanese club Al-Merreikh attended, for which Essam El-Hadary played, and paid $320,000 in cash to Al-Ahly club, according to what Al-Ahly club sources told the German News Agency.

At the same time, the Al-Ahly Club administration received a transfer from Sion Club in the amount of $506,000, bringing the total amount to $826,000.

Ramadan Sobhi ends the clash with Al-Ahly

In September 2020, Pyramids Club announced the official contract with Ramadan Sobhi, the former English and Al-Ahly player, Huddersfield Town.

Ramadan Sobhi’s loan with Al-Ahly ended on June 30, after he spent a season and a half with the Red Castle.

Initially, the agreement was for a 3-year contract, but the contract was amended to 5 years, with an increase in the player’s salary.

Al-Ahly announced earlier that it had not reached an agreement with Ramadan, despite reaching an agreement with its English club, because the player preferred to join Pyramids.

Khaled Murtaji, a member of the Al-Ahly club’s board of directors, responded to the Red Castle’s position on the news circulating about Ramadan Sobhi’s return to the ranks of Mukhtar Al-Tach Castle during the coming period.

Ramadan Sobhi had left Al-Ahly in the summer of 2020 after a season and a half loan from English club Huddersfield Town.

The international player then moved to the ranks of Pyramids for 3.5 million pounds sterling, and a huge salary, which is the largest in the Egyptian League.

Khaled Murtaji said, in radio statements, that Al-Ahly is not the club that is sold for money, and there is no person greater than Al-Ahly.

Youssef Nabih rebelled against Zamalek

A source close to Youssef Osama Nabih, the striker of the first football team in the emerging Zamalek club, revealed that the player signed the transfer contracts for the Pyramids club during the past few days.

This comes after the intense negotiations that took place between the player and his father, Captain Osama Nabih, with Pyramids officials recently.

The source confirmed that the player did not agree to Zamalek’s offer in the last period due to a dispute over financial matters, and agreed to sign for Pyramids after agreeing on all the details.

Youssef Osama Nabih’s contract with Zamalek ends at the end of the current season, and he has the right to sign for any team in the current period without referring to Al-Abyad officials.

For his part, the journalist, Amir Hisham, presenter of the “+90” program, confirmed that Zamalek did not contact Youssef Osama Nabih, the team’s striker, for renewal, except after knowing his negotiations with Pyramids to sign.

And Hisham continued during his program on Al-Nahar channel: “Ahmed Hossam Mido and Abdel Wahed Al-Sayed communicated with the player and his father, in order to renew and continue with the team.”

Amir Hisham added: “Nabih surprised the duo, specifically Abdel Wahed Al-Sayed. He agreed to renew, but who is responsible within the club for renewal.”

He pointed out that Youssef Nabih asked to know the club president and the contracts that he will sign and renew with, but he has not received any response yet.

And he concluded: “After the player’s response, Abdel Wahed was unable to respond, as the latter demanded that he sign the contract as a second party in blank, but Youssef Osama Nabih completely refused the matter, and therefore a decision was issued to grant him 48 hours leave.”

Saif Jaafar, the latest crisis in Zamalek

The journalist, Ahmed Schubert, announced the signing of Saif Farouk Jaafar to the Pyramids Club, for a period of 4 years, permanently, despite the assurances received from Zamalek to renew the player.

While the journalist, Hani Hathout, indicated that the Zamalek club’s response to Saif Farouk’s signing for Pyramids was as follows: “They will not be able to register him.”

Ahmed Hassan, the former Egyptian national team player, announced Pyramids’ decision regarding Saif Jaafar and Osama Nabih.

Hassan wrote through his personal Facebook account: Private.. Pyramids refuses to give up Saif Jaafar and Youssef Nabih to Zamalek for free and demands the white administration to buy them and pay a fee.

Mortada Mansour, President of Zamalek Club, said in press statements: Saif Farouk Jaafar went and fingerprinted 4 copies..and my gift was to him a network and I spoke to the jeweler which network he chooses..Saif took the envelope in which the contracts were and walked and told the administrator to show them to my mother..who sells the club we don’t want. We submitted a complaint against him to the Public Prosecutor after he took the contracts

Mortada Mansour confirmed that the matter was completely over, as the player signed contracts to join Pyramids, stressing by saying, “I am sad” for him.

And the president of Zamalek said in a video recorded through his official account on social media: “Saif Farouk Jaafar met with Abdel Wahed Al-Sayed, director of football, to discuss the renewal file, and he asked to hold a session with me, and I met with him after he signed the renewal contracts for Zamalek.”

Mortada Mansour added: “Saif Farouk Jaafar took the contracts and walked after he signed them, and told the administrator, I will show the contracts to my mother, and the administrator will be held accountable.”

And he continued: “Saif Jaafar was supposed to attend the contracts yesterday, but he did not come to the club, and we were surprised that Saif wanted to get 12 million per season, and if I did that I would destroy the dressing room. I asked Osorio about Saif Jaafar and Yusef Osama Nabih and he told me that he did not want the duo and the evidence They do not participate in the matches, and whoever sells Zamalek the club does not need him. There was a call between me and Farouk Jaafar today, but I am amazed at Saif’s mother’s behavior, which refuses to continue in Zamalek.

He explained that he had submitted a complaint to the North Giza Prosecution Office against Saif Farouk Jaafar on charges of appropriating public money after stealing contracts, and stressed that the player does not deserve to receive 12 million pounds as he requested, and said: I demand that you return the contracts and you are free to play in any team, even if Al-Ahly.

He added that Saif Farouk Jaafar had previously signed for Pyramids two months ago and was pressing for an increase in the financial compensation he would receive from Pyramids.
