The Customs Research and Intervention Brigade supported by the Baskuy Police carried out on March 19, 2023 in Ouagadougou, a seizure of counterfeit banknotes worth more than 1,000,000 dollars, 56 counterfeit gold bars, air force stripes, 02 Customs berets, communication devices and fake Customs stamps.
The intelligence network set up by the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) made it possible to set up a shadowing which resulted in the arrest of two (02) accomplices of the suspect still at large.
The Director General of Customs welcomes this seizure and congratulates the agents who worked for the success of this operation and especially the frank collaboration between FDS.
The Customs Administration reaffirms its determination to fight organized crime around illicit financial flows which constitute a real economic and security threat. It calls for the collaboration and support of the populations.
