Dr. Sandeep Barji, a pulmonologist at Prime Health Center, confirmed the danger of this behavior and its side effects such as heart attacks, coma and permanent organ damage, “and it may lead to death.”

He pointed out that inhaled gases may cause general poisoning of the body, “including difficulty breathing,” because they are toxic to body cells, “like cyanide,” and because they replace oxygen in the blood and limit the amount of oxygen that reaches tissues, “like methane or carbon monoxide.” .

Mechanical ventilation He explained that the treatment of these cases is done through oxygen, which is the mainstay for treating people who have been exposed to gases, and if the damage to the lung is severe, the injured person may need mechanical ventilation, but for anyone who has breathing problems after inhaling the gas He is being monitored in the hospital throughout the day to ensure that no serious complications occur.
