Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Salma Al-Barqawi, a consultant in dermatology, laser and cosmetic diseases, revealed 4 diseases that a person who performs tests unnecessarily may be exposed to.
Al-Barqawi said on the “Yahla” program: Too many medical tests unnecessarily may expose the person to infection with hepatitis B and C, AIDS and tuberculosis, noting that injuries occur to the health practitioner and the patient alike.
Al-Raqawi added that 30% of the medical tests are of no importance in the diagnosis.
