In question, features deemed addictive, based on “manipulation of dopamine” and which would have the objective of “transforming users into players, locked in a quest for psychological rewards that Match voluntarily makes elusive.” The key is juicy subscriptions that are constantly renewed, hearts becoming simple commodities sacrificed on the altar of profit.
