Reports say that the fetus had blood, as well as a head injury. His 30-year-old father from Nepal reportedly confessed that he was the one who threw the fetus in the garbage and it was later found in the landfill.
In fact, he said that when he threw it away the fetus was dead. This, however, is something that the autopsy-necropsy that will be done on the fetus will show.
The woman, a Nepali national, was reportedly 8 months pregnant and gave birth on Thursday night at a hotel where the couple was staying. She was transferred with bleeding to a public maternity hospital, without the fetus. Doctors could not determine whether she had given birth or miscarried. Her husband reportedly told authorities he did not know the woman was pregnant.
The police conducted a search inside the hotel room where the couple is staying. There he spotted blood on the walls and sheets. At the same time, they found a video from the hotel area, in which the father of the fetus was recorded, who had put the fetus in a garbage bag and threw it in the trash.
The 30-year-old mother remains under guard at the hospital. As ERT notes in its report, a crucial issue is what will be done with their criminal treatment, since if it emerges from the autopsy that the fetus was alive when he threw it in the trash, we may have very serious charges of attempted murder and homicide.
