The death of Amr Nassar, former Minister of Trade and Industry

Amr Nassar, the former Minister of Trade and Industry, who held his position from 2018 to December 2019, passed away.

Engineer Amr Abu Farikha, a member of the Board of Directors of the Export Council of Engineering Goods, mourned, on his official page, the former Minister Amr Nassar, saying: “We belong to God and to Him we shall return. Nassar held the position of Secretary-General of the Export Council for Engineering Industries, and Executive Adviser to the projects of the “MCV” group for the manufacture of vehicles. Since January 2012, he has served as Vice-President of the Export Council of Engineering Goods, which is the advisory board of the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry, which aims to develop Egyptian exports in the products sector. engineering.

He holds two undergraduate degrees in Engineering 1985 and Law 1990, to a wide range of studies in Marketing and Management in support of his career.

Nassar worked as a business development consultant for Sony (Professional broadcasting), General Electric ExxonMobil, IIR UK and Dubai, and served as a board member of the Egyptian American Automotive Market Information Council from 2008 to 2012.

He worked as Vice President of the Middle East and North Africa for the World Federation of Public Transport during the period from 2008-2014, and Nassar also participated in the Egyptian Road Safety Association as one of the members of the Executive Committee from 2006 to date.

Nassar served as Vice President of the International Public Transport Association for the Middle East and North Africa for three terms from 2008 to 2014.

Nassar was a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Engineering Industries, the Automotive Division of the Federation of Industries.

His last position before assuming the Ministry of Trade and Industry was the Secretary-General of the Export Council for Engineering Industries, and he was a member of the Board of Directors of MCV.
