We must purely and simply legalize cannabis and organize its sale.“The Deputy Prime Minister argues:”It no longer makes sense to use the means of our police forces and justice for cannabis. There are much more serious forms of crime that have a greater impact on life in society. Let’s concentrate the means of the police and justice on a whole series of behaviors that are deleterious.“
For Georges-Louis Bouchez, this proposal is completely “against a current“. He feels that the timing is very badly chosen: “Today, the difficulties caused by the consumption of drugs, in particular hard drugs, are very important problems in the cities, so this is really not the time to send a signal of decriminalization, a signal of laxity to that.“He takes advantage of the subject to attack his best enemies:”It is extremely dangerous for public health.
