Technoparks : The authority is undertaking a number of actions and initiatives to support and support start-ups operating in digital.
Strengthening the establishment of Technoparks in at least ten Moroccan cities by 2026, revising the legal framework for stratups, particularly those operating in digital, as well as improving the level of their monitoring… These are the main commitments made by the Ghita Mezzour department. To do this, the delegated ministry responsible for digital transition and administrative reform works in concert with the various national and international value-added incubators and provides assistance to these companies with a view to facilitating their access to markets both at local and foreign level.
The supervision also offers them complete financing at the different stages of their activity. These initiatives were listed by Ghita Mezzour during her speech Tuesday in the House of Representatives. In this regard, the minister recalled the importance given by her department to supporting digital status. In this regard, the minister reviewed all the actions and initiatives undertaken by the authority with a view to accompanying and supporting start-ups operating in digital. In this sense, let us cite the recent signing of a framework agreement with the Caisse de dépôt et de gestion (CDG) for the structuring and implementation of a support and financing offer intended for Moroccan start-ups.
A framework agreement which, according to the minister, includes a good number of measures, in this case the “life grant”. The latter constitutes, in fact, support for experienced idea bearers to launch into entrepreneurship.
Added to this is also the granting of the “Young innovative company” label which allows these start-ups to benefit from a capped grant in foreign currencies of 1 million dirhams in order to help them deal with their partners at the same time. ‘stranger. The “Technopark Essaouira” was also inaugurated. This structure offers workspaces suitable for 70 start-ups in the region. This is, in fact, the fifth Technopark site in the Kingdom which has been able to support more than 3,000 start-ups and create more than 15,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. The minister also indicated that her department seeks to support start-ups in all regions of the Kingdom. In this regard, the authority aims to strengthen the establishment of the company “Technopark” in at least ten Moroccan cities by 2026.
It should be recalled that the Minister will present at the next Government Council the general guidelines for the development of digital, in accordance with the Morocco Digital 2030 strategy. This strategy, currently being approved, aims, according to the Minister, to establish digital as a key lever for socio-economic development and to meet the expectations of citizens.
The minister recently indicated in a presentation before the public finance control committee that this strategy is structured around several axes, in particular digital administration, including governance, the legal framework, data, change management, digital skills and infrastructure, she explained, specifying that all the axes of the strategy ensure in their objectives to achieve digital inclusion with a view to reaching large sections of society.
Note that a substantial budget has been allocated to the activation of the projects of this strategy, developed according to a largely participatory approach covering the various institutional partners, noting that this strategy has favored the implementation of an integrated strategy.
