Exclusive translation: The British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, revealed the pregnancy of two women in the New Jersey American prison for women, following having sex with one of their transgender colleagues.
The newspaper quoted prison officials as saying: “In both cases, the process of sex was consensual, and it is unclear whether the two pregnant women had sex with the same transgender inmate, or with other transgender people as well.”
The pregnant women, who have not been identified, are being housed at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton, which the New Jersey governor announced plans to close last year.
The Edna Mahan facility holds 27 transgender prisoners, and more than 800 women in total, and it is unclear whether the two inmates plan to continue their pregnancies, while an investigation has opened.
