Blizzard has changed the model of benches in Overwatch 2. The developers made this decision after the design of the shops was criticized by a shooter fan under the nickname ClearTogether. On Twitter, the girl said that the homeless cannot sleep on such benches.
ClearTogether published a message in early June, attaching a screenshot showing that the shop is divided by partitions. On June 29, the girl wrote a new post and attached a redesigned image to it. Now the benches have no internal partitions. Overwatch 2 lead narrative game designer Gavin Jurgens-Fairey responded to ClearTogether’s message by thanking the fan for the feedback.
Overwatch 2 is set to release on October 4, 2022. The shooter sequel will be distributed on a shareware model.
