The Covid-19 is forgotten: the 53rd edition of the International Alpine Film Festival of Les Diablerets (FIFAD), which ended on Saturday, has returned to its pre-crisis attendance. The Grand Prize was awarded to “The Last Mountain”, by British director Chris Terrill.
After two 2020 and 2021 editions, however maintained in person, but with an audience impacted by the pandemic, the festival is relieved to find its record attendance this year.

It is the “moving” story of a young woman, Kate Ballard, who lost her mother, Alison Hargreaves, the first woman in the world to have climbed Everest alone and without oxygen in 1995, as well as her brother , British mountaineering rising star Tom Ballard, who died in 2019, a statement said. Five films were awarded a Golden Devil: “Hey Gunesh” (Georgia), by Marita Tevzadze and Ana Jegnaradze, “Cache-cache” (Italy), by Paolo Bonfandini, Irène Cotrone and Davide Morando, “La liste : Everything or Nothing” (France), by Eric Crosland, “Lynx” (Switzerland), by Laurent Geslin and “WoGü, behind the scenes” (Switzerland), by Mathieu Rivoire and Nina Caprez. “Black Ice” (USA), by Peter Mortimer and Zachary Bar, received the Special Jury Prize.
“Enjoying” results
