The party’s representative, Sharif Suleiman, said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the statement of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, regarding the disputes with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, represents a roadmap for resolving these problems,” noting that “the differences with the Union came because of issues within the region.
He added, “The differences occurred after the union’s withdrawal from the regional government and its failure to participate in the ministerial delegation that visited Baghdad, in addition to an attempt to extend influence and lack of real interaction with the government, as well as a dispute over imports,” noting that “these differences will not affect the relationship with Baghdad.” “.
He stressed, “We are able to resolve these differences, overcome them, and develop appropriate solutions for them,” noting that “some parties in Baghdad intervened to resolve these problems between the Democratic Party and the National Union.”
He continued, “Parliament was unable to distribute parliamentary committees properly,” explaining that “the union’s representatives not attending the sessions of the House of Representatives is out of the question.”
