In 1985, the director made a television benefit film for Nikolai Karachentsov, “One for All!” His filmography also includes the films “Physicists”, “The Beautiful Helen”, “Steps of the Emperor”, the television play “Aesop” and others.

In 2008, when asked which literary work is most relevant for Russian society, he replied that a work cannot become a relevant recipe for society. “Art is not meant to solve issues—let journalism do that. Art should sharpen questions, expose problems.”
