A listening device was discovered in one of the future offices of Ukrainian Chief of Staff Valery Zalouzhny, the Kiev security services announced on Sunday, while specifying that the device was “not operational” .
“The equipment was not found directly in Valery Zaluzhny’s office, but in one of the premises that he might use for his work in the future“, specified the Ukrainian services on Telegram.
An investigation was opened to “illegal use of special technical means to obtain information“, they added without offering any clues as to the origin of this listening device.
“The device found was not operational. No data storage or remote audio transmission devices were found. This technical device will be sent for examination“, the Ukrainian services further indicated.
