Although the Prosecutor’s Office initiated the investigation file for the crime of femicide, it could not link the process to the one previously indicated by the doctor, but after months of remaining on the run, the doctor was arrested and criminally prosecuted for the crime of sexual harassment.
On Friday, the Women’s Prosecutor’s Office obtained a conviction of three years in prison against Fernando “N”, for his criminal responsibility in the crime of sexual harassment, to the detriment of whoever in life responded to the name of Mariana “N”. , of events that occurred in the municipality of Ocosingo.
In addition, the judge imposed a fine of 50 Measurement and Update Units (UMA), for the events that occurred in November 2020 in the Nueva Palestina community, municipality of Ocosingo.
