The dollar at its highest against the euro for almost 20 years

The dollar rose to its highest level on Wednesday once morest the euro nearly 20 years following the announcement of a 0.75 percentage point increase in the US central bank’s (Fed) key rate.

The greenback hit $0.9814 per euro for the first time since late October 2002, just a few months following the official changeover to the single currency.
