The downing of a military helicopter of the Syrian regime forces… and the killing of two pilots

A helicopter belonging to the Syrian regime forces crashed in the eastern countryside of Lattakia, due to a technical failure, according to Sputnik news agency.
The Russian agency quoted a high-ranking security source as saying that a helicopter of the Syrian regime forces fell in the agricultural lands of the town of Al-Ruwaymiyah, to the east of the city of Latakia.

The source added that the plane malfunctioned, causing it to crash, adding that the ambulance and civil defense teams were able to reach the crew of the plane and rescue it to the city’s hospitals, before announcing at a later time the death of two pilots from the crew, while two other pilots are undergoing treatment.

It is not yet clear the nature of the mission that the helicopter was carrying out in the Latakia countryside, or the nature of the technical malfunction that hit it.
