Running in heels, throwing a handbag or untangling headphones with 10 cm long false nails… The second edition of the “Drag Games” attracted people last weekend in the Parc de la Villette in Paris . The primary objective of this event, organized in partnership with Tinder, is to raise funds for AIDS research. Last year, 25,000 euros were collected.

Associations were also present to raise awareness, detect and inform on the importance of mobilizing individually and collectively.

“We also intervene to remind the youngest but also heterosexuals that they must protect themselves,” confides Angélica Stratice, member of the Sidragtion association, on the set of 20 Minutes TV.

Between 4,200 and 5,700 people discovered their HIV status in 2022. A number that is increasing. “The increase observed between 2020 and 2022 follows the significant decrease in 2020 linked to the Covid-19 epidemic and explained by the drop in screening activity, migratory flows and undoubtedly also exposure to HIV linked to to social distancing measures,” explains Public Health France.
