The Playwrights Association decided to dispatch award winners in the Sharjah Gulf Theater Festivals, Sharjah Theater Days, and Dubai Youth Theatre, to a number of Arab and international festivals, including the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater in its session that will be held in early September, and the Carthage Days in December, as well as dispatching the winners of the Emirates Festival for Children’s Theater to one of the important and designated Arab festivals, in order to deepen the theatrical experience of creators, by watching performances, attending intellectual forums and seminars, and seeing the most important presentations. in the Arab and international arena.
This came in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association, which was chaired by: Ismail Abdullah, in the presence of Ahmed Al Jasmi, Vice President, and Dr. Habib Ghuloom, Secretary General, Saeed Salem, Chairman of the Communications, Members Affairs and Teams Committee, Walid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Marketing Committee, Abdullah Rashid, Chairman of the Technical and Cultural Committee, and Faisal Ali, Treasurer.
The meeting approved the support of the theatrical workshop organized by the Umm Al Quwain National Theater under the title “Third Theatrical Talents Workshop”, during the summer of this year, and the meeting discussed restoring the soul to the Emirates Center for Puppet Arts, with new visions, after the center stopped for a period due to the conditions of the “Corona” pandemic.
Ismail Abdullah said: “In implementation of the directives and visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in developing the local theatrical scene, we seek in the association and through the available capabilities and means available to us, to work on this, by sending winners to important theater festivals, as well as supporting teams in holding workshops, forums and seminars, as we are currently working to restore life to the Emirates Center for Puppet Arts, through plans and visions through which we seek to make this center present in cultural and social life ».
