The driver ignored the red light and crashed into the Badner Bahn in Vienna

A 32-year-old car driver ignored a red light on Anton-Baumgartner-Strasse in Vienna-Liesing in front of a Badner Bahn level crossing late Friday followingnoon and crashed into the train. According to the police, the front set derailed and came to a standstill in the gravel bed. According to the Viennese professional rescue service, both the driver and a female passenger were slightly injured in the accident.

The two received emergency medical care from the Vienna professional rescue service and were taken to a hospital. With a tow truck, the Vienna fire brigade pulled the badly damaged car out of the gravel bed and put it aside. Employees of the Vienna Local Railways took care of the derailed wagon.
