The man whose profile we still do not know and knowing he was wanted finally surrendered himself to the Gendarmerie brigade. He was immediately placed in police custody and has since been interviewed on the accident for which he is accused.
As a reminder, in the middle of the day on Saturday the body of a young man of regarding 25 years old was discovered on the side of the national road 1, at the level of the entrance to the beach of Roseau. According to the findings made by the emergency services, the thesis of the collision with hit and run had been considered from the start.
The person concerned, perhaps remorseful, therefore gave himself up. The exact circumstances of the tragedy remain to be determined. For the moment it is too early to know if offenses have been committed, alcohol, speed or others. Hearings continue and even with analysis, it will be difficult to know.
This is why the National Gendarmerie asks all the witnesses present that day to come forward. Their versions will perhaps make it possible to know more and thus support or contradict that of the driver in question.
