As part of the lecture series “My Health” in the SN hall, it starts again today, Wednesday, January 17th – the topic is diabetes and how you can counteract this yourself through weight loss (including medication-assisted).
800,000 people in Austria, i.e. one in eleven, suffer from diabetes. There are also 300,000 people with prediabetes, a precursor to the disease. A key factor in not letting things get that far is not letting your own weight get too high.
Under the title “The duet of diabetes and weight loss: How both influence each other, tips for dealing with diabetes, tips for losing weight – and what role do the weight loss/diabetes injections Ozempic and Wegovyy play?” Friedrich Hoppichler will give a lecture on this today, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 7 p.m. in the SN hall (Karolingerstraße 40, 5021 Salzburg).
Primar Hoppichler is medical director of the Hospital of the Brothers of Mercy in Salzburg and board member of Sipcan – Initiative for a Healthy Life. This lecture will also be broadcast via livestream on www.SN.at/live.
