The electromagnetic wave of iPhone 12 is too strong and France requires it to stop selling it

(AFP, Paris, 12th) The electromagnetic waves of the iPhone 12 are too strong, and the French radiation regulatory agency today asked Apple to stop sales and make adjustments to the electromagnetic waves released by existing mobile phones.

France’s National Spectrum Authority (L’Agence Nationale des Frequences, ANFR) pointed out that tests found that this smartphone emits more electromagnetic waves that are easily absorbed by the human body, exceeding the allowed range.

ANFR stated that they “request Apple to remove the iPhone 12 from the French market starting September 12 because the electromagnetic waves emitted by this model of mobile phone exceed the absorption limit of human tissue.”

The ANFR said that when an accredited laboratory simulated holding an iPhone 12 in the hand or in a pocket, the electromagnetic energy absorbed by the human body was 5.74 watts per kilogram.

The EU standard value for such tests is 4 watts per kilogram.

ANFR said in a statement on its official website: “For mobile phones that have been sold, Apple must take corrective measures as soon as possible to make the affected mobile phones comply with the regulations. Otherwise, Apple must recall them.”

ANFR pointed out that the electromagnetic wave test conducted at a distance of 5 centimeters from the iPhone 12 complies with the limit of 2 watts per kilogram.

ANFR stated that starting from the 13th, agents are not allowed to sell iPhone 12 in France.

Regulatory authorities in many countries have set limits on the amount of electromagnetic radiation that mobile phones may emit to prevent adverse effects on human health.

The World Health Organization (WHO) states on its website that after extensive research, “it cannot be determined that cell phone use causes adverse health effects.”
