“Keep smiling” and continue to dance despite the war: after two months of touring France, the dancers of the Grand Ballet de Kiev gave their last ballet near Arcachon on Wednesday evening, before facing an uncertain future. At the slightest respite during rehearsals, they scrolled through social networks with images and videos of ongoing fighting in the country, in a heavy atmosphere. “It’s not easy to dance with this anxiety, this worry deep inside us”, testifies Ksenia Dronova, dancer of the Grand Ballet.
