The Essential Book Day: Celebrating Literature and Creativity with Anim’Alet Association

2023-08-05 03:10:00

the essential The Anim’Alet association is offering the second edition of the Book Day this Sunday August 6 from 9 am to 6 pm, in the Thermes d’Alet-les-Bains park.

Thought up by Josy Laval, this event, which is both cultural and fun, has the initial ambition of bringing together the various trades involved in the book, from the author to the bookseller, via the printer or even the paper pulp manufacturer.

Dictation of yesteryear

If Anim’Alet does not yet have the budget for this ambition, this second edition of the Book Festival will receive the participation of around twenty speakers, including journalists and authors. The Quillanese writer and daughter of Russian-Ukrainian immigrants, Tatiana Kletzky-Pradère answered the call and will sign her novel Les forget-me-nots from Ukraine, written in 1993 and awarded the Paul Guth Novel Prize. Poetry will also be on the program for this day, with the presence of Pierre Thiollière, poet and lecturer in Spanish literature. Books will of course be on offer in various stands and visitors will also be able to test their spelling during the afternoon, with a dictation around a classroom setting of yesteryear.

Stylish creations

The icing on the cake, the costumers of the association who have often offered their talent, especially on the occasion of medieval festivals, will exhibit dresses made from newspapers or books. There is no doubt that the creations resulting from this meeting of the word and styling will attract attention and also feed the imagination for the next editions with perhaps an anthology of wedding dresses all in love poetry…
