The event takes place on October 7 in the center of Toulouse, along the entire rue du Coq d’Inde from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Participants will be able to listen to Alicia Dorey, editor-in-chief of Le Figaro vin, author of the book “à nos ivresses” Flammarion. Other speakers like Véronique Nahoum-Grappe, anthropologist and Guillaume Sire, artisan-researcher will focus on dissecting the relationship that our societies have had or could have had with drunkenness. Films around the theme will also be screened throughout the festival including “Drunk in the house of lords”, a film on the life of the Rock group Poni Hoax, master of excess of all kinds… “The festival is not an ode to drunkenness but we have the right to study it and understand why this subject has accompanied so many artistic creations for centuries,” underlines Benjamin Böhle-Roitelet
