Brussels – The European Union (EU) has called for the establishment of a UN-backed special court in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

European Union President Ursula Vonder Leyen said it was necessary to investigate war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine and to use frozen Russian assets for the reconstruction of the war-torn country.
