It was around 10 o’clock that a fire broke out in Liseberg’s water world Oceana, which was supposed to open in the summer. Shortly therefollowing, the powerful explosion followed.
– When oxygen is added to these fire gases, it becomes this phenomenon that we can see in the pictures – that a flame breaks out, says Jan Wisén, consultant in rescue services and security, who previously worked for MSB and was fire chief in Greater Stockholm.
But what is behind the fire is still unclear.
– At this stage, it is almost impossible to say what the cause of the fire might be. But it is clear that often when there is construction work, there is an increased risk, he says.
