Cristiano Ronaldo: The explanation for his gesture and the sanction to which he is exposed

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is exposed to a sanction by the disciplinary committee of the Saudi league for his response with a gesture considered derogatory to the Al Shabab fans after they booed him and shouted “Messi, Messi.”
The gesture in question took place after the score by Brazilian Anderson Talisca that gave Al Nassr the victory. Cristiano Ronaldo shook his arm at waist level repeatedly. This action was criticized on social networks and was called “immoral” and “obscene.”
Criticism also came from the media, such as the newspaper Ashaq Al Awsat, which indicated that the disciplinary committee of the Saudi Football Federation opened an investigation into the incident and that the Portuguese is exposed to a possible sanction.
However, for the federation to act ex officio, the images of the gesture would have to come out of the television broadcast. In the case of Ronaldo’s gesture, they went viral following a video on social networks.
According to the medium Al JazeeraAl Shabab decided to file an official complaint against Cristiano before the ethics and discipline committee, which includes images of his behavior and the gestures he directed against the team’s fans.
Sports world Spanish media, reports that Ronaldo’s punishment would be two games and a financial fine. In the last few hours, the Portuguese’s explanation for his action also came to light.
“I respect all clubs. And the gesture after the shot expresses strength and victory, and is not shameful. We are used to it in Europe“, was what he said.
