The farmers’ mobilizations will continue until February 26, the three agricultural unions confirmed a little while ago after their long meeting with the Minister of Agriculture Luis Planas.
They did not reach an agreement as they claimed, but the negotiations are at a satisfactory level, both sides admitted. The minister presented to the representatives of the farmers a package of measures of 18 points related to their claims such as the reduction of bureaucracy or the control of products imported into the EU from third countries as well as interventions in the law on the food chain that was passed in 2021.
All three unions Asaja, COAG and UPA have agreed to continue their peaceful mobilizations ending on February 26 with the tractor march also in Madrid as it coincides with the meeting of agriculture ministers in Brussels.
