The favorite brands of kids and adolescents in Mexico

In 2020, only 28% of young people between the ages of 15 and 29 were considered part of the economically active population.

Kids Corp presented the Top Brands Report 2022. The report on the U18 segment and its brand preferences in Mexico was made with data and insights from Askids, the platform that surveys more than 70,000 children, adolescents and their parents annually in America.

In categories such as toys, entertainment, clothing, footwear and fast food, parental persuasion exceeds 70% in LATAM. Likewise, more than 40% of children and adolescents have their own money, and they use it mainly to buy food and drinks, clothes, toys and go out with friends. In an increasingly connected world, 86% of kids & teens have access to a smartphone in Latin America, and are in constant contact with brands, generating preferred and trustworthy links. In the category of technology the brands that were placed in the first positions were: Samsung with 25 percent, followed by Huawei 11 percent and Apple 10 percent. While Adidas (17%), Nike (27%) and Converse (12%) remain the same as in 2021, leading the category of shoes. In the category of entertainment Disney is with 41% followed by YouTube with 24% and this time Marvel (17%) shares a position with Netflix (17%).
