The fears of Déthié Fall, “surprised” by Macky Sall’s latest decision

This Thursday afternoon, Déthié Fall and the other leaders of the Yewwi Askan Wi (Yaw) coalition held a press conference. After the President of the Conference of Coalition Leaders, Habib Sy, introduced Khalifa Sall, Déthié Fall took the floor.

The leader of the Republican Party for Progress (Prp) reacted to the publication of the decree which exceptionally revises the electoral lists in preparation for the presidential election of February 25, 2024.

Déthié Fall thus expressed his surprise: “The presidential election is the election that mobilizes the highest turnout. How can we speak of an exceptional revision of the lists and plan this revision in one month, from April 6 to May 6, 2023?

According to the former collaborator of Idrissa Seck, despite a large number of new potential voters, the time allowed for registration on the electoral lists will not be sufficient. He says young people seeking regime change wanted to register en masse so they could vote in the 2024 presidential election.
