The temples are grayer than at the time, but the speech quickly returned to the mouth. To relaunch his five-year term, Emmanuel Macron summoned on Tuesday evening certain fundamentals which had accompanied his conquest of power, by announcing what looks more or less like a “Macron II law”.

During the press conference, the Head of State explained that he wanted “Act II of the law on growth, activity and economic opportunities to further liberate those who do, who dare, who work”. A way of tackling the “complexities that protect annuities, established situations”. As if Emmanuel Macron was resuming his clothes from 2015, when, then “simple” Minister of the Economy, he built himself the stature of a reformer with a law aimed at freeing growth.
