In his childhood, he was not able to meet or get to know people like him. Similarly, I never saw people with my personality even in movies during my teenage years. I didn’t know how to tell my story to the society. He left his home in Thrissur at the age of nineteen. Later, he participated in many gatherings of trans communities.
Being born in a woman’s body, it was a big challenge to come out with an open identity. There were opportunities to share what I knew and learned with others.
He used to speak in awareness classes for social justice department officials. There are classes for both teachers and children. He made his acting debut in a short film a few months ago. Directed by Journalist Anjana George. Name ‘Binary Error’. Sunny Wayne is playing the lead role in the film. I play the role of Anirudh, a transgender. I wrote the dialogue myself.
The film talks about the problems faced by the average queer person. It is produced by director Mithun Manuel Thomas. The ‘Binary Error’ uploaded on YouTube has been viewed by lakhs of people.
A film should be made on the theme of transgender life. The actors will be trans people themselves.
