The Super Mario Bros Movie will come out at movie theater on March 29, 2023 in France, April 7, 2023 in North America and April 28, 2023 in Japan. It’s been nearly 40 years since the original Mario Bros game was released in Japan. Today, many people play Mario games around the world. The world of Super Mario Bros will finally become an animated film. We’ve been working on this film with Illumination Entertainment’s Chris Meledandri for a long time, from early brainstorming through production. What a lot of time spent having fun imagining how to represent the characters and the world of Super Mario. The production of the film is going well. At this time, as with all Nintendo games, we are working on the final details. It will be a great experience at the cinema. You will have the opportunity to see the Mushroom Kingdom on the big screen. Take a good look, you’ll notice all sorts of details.

Illumination Entertainment’s Chris Meledandri claims that production on The Super Mario Bros Movie animated film is nearing completion:
Our team is full of Mario fans, and they all bring their best, day after day, to make this movie. We will complete the animation phase next week. We are working at full speed on the lighting and the compositions. Composer Brian Tyler soon enters the recording studio. He works closely with Koji Kondo to incorporate classic themes from the game into the film’s music.
