The first products marketed from March 1 – Today Morocco

For the start, marketing will focus on life insurance and personal insurance products, namely Taamine Al Janaza, Taamine Wladi, Taamine Al Walidine, Taamine Sahti.

From March 1, Wafacash will start marketing the first products of its “Taamine Wafacash” offer in its 2,200 points of sale. It is indeed an inclusive insurance offer resulting from a partnership with Wafa Assurance. The rapprochement between the two parties was recorded on Thursday, February 23 in Casablanca, through the signing of an agreement by Abdesslam Bouirg, general manager of Wafacash, and Fatima-Ezzahra El Idrissi Chraibi, executive director of the personal insurance division in Wafa Assurance, thus marking the effective start of the first offer approved and marketed by a payment institution.

“Financial inclusion being considered as a catalyst to promote economic development and poverty reduction in our country, it encourages us to provide equitable access to all individuals and businesses to formal financial products and services. for a use adapted to their needs and their means while taking care to preserve their rights”, specifies Abdesslam Bouirig, general manager of Wafacash. And to continue: “Today more than ever, low-income populations need this type of service to cope with this economic crisis”. Referring to the signatories, this new offer of microinsurance products has been designed to enable customers to protect themselves against various hazards. “This new offer complements all the inclusive services offered since the launch of Hissab Bikhir in 2009, the JIBI payment account in 2018 and which actively participate in the financial inclusion of the country”, notes Mr. Bouirig. On the side of Wafa Assurance, Mrs. Chraibi underlined that “this offer is a break with traditional insurance, the commitment being to popularize insurance as well as to make it more inclusive and simpler”.

The manager also reiterated the company’s ambition to perpetuate this collaboration with other payment institutions. Through this partnership, Wafacash and Wafa Assurance are applying their know-how and expertise in their respective fields to offer Wafacash customers the benefits of the Taamine Iktissadi concept, developed by Wafa Assurance since 2019. The launch will concern a complete range inclusive insurance products. Let us quote in this sense the life insurance and personal insurance products (Taamine Al Janaza, Taamine Wladi, Taamine Al Walidine, Taamine Sahti). “Damage” insurance products (Taamine Bayti, Taamine Mahali) will be marketed in a second phase.

It should be noted that these products, whose prices start at 55 dirhams including tax annually, aim to protect both descendants and ascendants in the event of the death of the insured, to pay a daily allowance in the event of hospitalization of the insured, or to cover professional premises or the home against fire and water damage. This range includes several innovations aimed at facilitating understanding of the products, simplifying subscription without conditions or formalities and providing compensation quickly.
