Whether domestically-produced cars are safe or not has attracted the attention of domestic consumers. The New Car Safety Rating Program (TNCAP) promoted by the Ministry of Communications launched its first crash test in October last year, and the first batch of tested cars were the best-selling cars. Toyota Corolla Cross and RAV4 are expected to be announced in the first quarter of this year.
Seeing that there are only the last 2 weeks left in the first season of this year, the results of the first wave of TNCAP’s Toyota Corolla Cross and RAV4 crash tests are still lingering. According to TNCAP’s official statement, the tests of the two vehicles have been completed so far, and only need to wait for the traffic After approval by the ministry, the collision test results will be announced as scheduled.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Transportation, the next car models to undergo crash tests are Toyota Altis and Honda CR-V in the second season, Ford Kuga and Focus in the third season, and Nissan Kicks and Sentra in the fourth season. The test vehicles are purchased privately by the personnel arranged by the vehicle safety center of the executive agency to ensure that the test vehicles are the same as those purchased by consumers.
The crash test is mainly divided into four major items, namely adult protection, child restraint protection, pedestrian protection and safety assistance. The test standards will be stricter than relevant regulations, and a star rating system will be adopted, with the highest five stars, the lowest one star, and the final star rating. For rating, the worst star rating result of the four major safety items will be adopted.
