Any resident of Russia will now be able to use the service of transferring his car, truck or even water transport to electric traction. Domestic startup Edison Technologies has opened a station in Moscow that allows you to turn cars and boats with internal combustion engines into electric vehicles.

Edison Technologies was founded by Mikhail Krapivny, the founder of the Man & Technologies lab design bureau, and is currently developing and manufacturing ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles and other solutions for mobile and stationary electronics.
Transport owners will be able not only to “upgrade” obsolete equipment with internal combustion engines, but also receive tangible economic benefits. According to the data provided by the company, the average tank of a car today is refueled by about 3 thousand rubles, and active drivers spend more than 100 thousand rubles on fuel. per year, and some even 200 thousand, not to mention the cost of other consumables. The updated electric cars are expected to be much more economical, although the company does not provide exact examples.
The conversion to electric traction involves the installation of an electric motor, the connection of the BMS (Battery Management System) battery management system and the installation of the batteries themselves. Additionally, optimization of the car is provided, including flashing ABS and ESP under “new reactions to the gas pedal” – acceleration occurs immediately after pressing. It also provides for the replacement of some controls in the cabin. According to Edison Technologies, the long-term goal of the project is to bring the company’s electrical circuits and BMS systems to market for end users.
