Today, Monday, the fifth seed in the world in tennis, Tunisian Anas Jaber, reached the quarter-finals of the US Open, following defeating the 18th world ranked, Russian Veronika Kudretova, in two sets to no charge.

The Tunisian player managed to win the first set with difficulty 7-6 (7-1). In the second group, Jaber outperformed 6-4.

Jaber will compete in the quarter-finals of the US Open (the last Grand Slam tournament) for the first time in her career, when she will face Australian Ajla Tomljanovic, who qualified at the expense of Russian Lyudmila Samsonova 7-6 (10-8), 6-1.
