A member of the “Strong Lebanon” bloc, Representative George Atallah, confirms that the “Free Patriotic Movement” did not cover the participation of Minister of Tourism Walid Nassar in the cabinet session.
Regarding the participation of Minister George Bushkian in the previous session and the participation of Nassar in this session, does this mean that the current no longer favors ministers whom he himself appointed to the ministry? He clarifies that they are not the current ministers, but rather that former President Michel Aoun named them.
And he adds, “If they were the ministers of the movement, we would have spoken without speaking.” To clarify, Minister Nassar was agreed upon between President Aoun and President Najib Mikati, so we do not trust him.
Why did he boycott the last session? Atallah answers, “Last time, he was convinced that the session violated the pact and coexistence, and we do not know what happened to him today, to return and participate in this session.”
