Vladimir Putin in particular is clearly so filled with hatred of the West that he will use the slightest pretext to strike. Prudence is on the wane and hate is gaining the upper hand – on both sides. If we ever get away with it, it is high time we found out what humanity did wrong between 1945 and 2022, to come to the point where the promise in the preamble to the United Nations Charter of 1945 – “We are determined , to save future nations from the scourge of war!” – has become obsolete.
