Zoug vs GSHC

Yesterday evening, Tuesday January 19, the GSHC went to Zug to face the first in the standings. While the Eagles gave their best, they weren’t rewarded for their efforts.

The match had started well, because it was the Eagles who opened the scoring. Moy found the way to the net with the help of a Zougois skate to deceive Genoni in the 4th minute. But Zug quickly came back to score with Geisser in the 9th minute, then, a little later, they reduced the score with a Leuenberger shot in the 20th minute. It is 2-1 at the break.

Coming back from the locker room, the Eagles did not give Zug time to breathe, they scored a goal with a shot from Richard. 10 minutes later, it was Fehr who made Genoni’s nets tremble and scored the 3rd goal. Hope was short-lived, as Zug woke up and cheated on Descloux twice in 5 minutes! The 2nd third ends with a score of 4-3.

The Eagles never managed to reduce the score in this final third and Zug took the opportunity to widen the gap even further with a final goal in the 54th minute. The match ended with a score of 5-3.

Friborg-Gottéron vs GSHC

After their defeat against Zug, the Eagles went to Friborg for a new derby from Romandie. Unfortunately, the Eagles bowed.

Even if the Garnet dominated the meeting during the last 55 minutes of the match, Geneva failed to come back.

From the outset, Friborg announced the color by scoring 2 goals in just 5 minutes of the match. The Eagles did not give up and tried everything to find the way to the net. They succeeded twice, but Friborg took another step ahead without leaving a chance for the Eagles.
