Frankfurt: The German Football Federation has released the jerseys for the Qatar World Cup and the 2023 Australia/New Zealand Women’s World Cup. The new shirt features the oversized black vertical stripes that were on the first German jersey in 1908.
The German men’s team played in the Germany-England National League match at the Allianz Arena in Munich on June 7 wearing the jerseys of the German women’s team. It was in solidarity with the German women’s team, who are playing at the 2022 Women’s Euro.
The German women will be the first to wear the new kit in the 2023 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Turkey on September 3. Henceforth, both the teams will have the same jersey.
