The Media Center of the Council of Ministers revealed that in light of the reports that benzene contains manganese and other metals, which causes car malfunctions, the center has contacted the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, which denied the news, stressing that there is no truth to benzene containing manganese or any minerals. She stressed that all gasoline products of all kinds, whether produced locally or imported from abroad, are sound and conform to standard specifications, and are free of manganese or metals. Periodic inspections by the Petroleum Authority for Quality Control, as well as periodic passage of all stages of the system from refineries, warehouses and petrol stations, and random samples are drawn to ensure the safety of all types of gasoline, and that they do not contain any impurities or minerals, and that all their products conform to standard specifications, and to ensure The quality of the fuel that is marketed through fueling stations spread all over the country, confirming that the gasoline is free of manganese, which cannot be used to affect He sees it damaged on some parts of refineries.

In a related context, the Petroleum Authority confirms that there are a large number of international companies working in Egypt in the field of gasoline marketing and they have many stations and conduct tests and analyzes of gasoline in its warehouses before placing it in its affiliated stations, as the Authority did not receive any complaints from these international companies. which enjoys an international reputation.

She also confirmed that there is a work program being implemented to set up new refineries and advanced production units for gasoline and produce it with the highest quality and high octane without the need to mix it with any additives.
