The final competition among children’s backyard teams for the Governor’s Cup was held on the main arena of Krasnodar’s Basket Hall.
42 teams from 19 cities and districts of Kuban fought for the victory.
Vice Governor Alexander Vlasov noted that the largest basketball tournament in the region has already become a tradition. This year, over 306,000 young athletes took part in it.
– Such competitions are important for popularizing mass basketball and identifying talented athletes, – said Alexander Vlasov.
So, among girls born in 2007-2008. the teams from Anapa, Tuapse and Kavkaz regions became the best. In the category born in 2009-2010 representatives of Dinskoy, Yeisk districts, as well as Gelendzhik won. Of the girls born in 2011-2012 the top three winners included athletes from the Slavyansk, Timashevsk and Caucasian regions.
Boys born in 2007-2008 the teams of the Kavkazsky region, Krasnodar and Gelendzhik became the best. In the age category born in 2009-2010 won the Caucasus, Pavlovsky districts and Novorossiysk. Among boys born in 2011-2012 the top three included Temryuk district, Sochi and Krasnodar.
The winners and prize-winners received cups, medals, certificates, as well as personal awards in the form of basketballs, the press service of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
